Sorry to disagree but I think the numbers would suggest that on average Taylor Made drivers spin less than their OP this is so hard to say without knowing your numbers. Mostly likely the TaylorMade will give you more spin/height and the Ping less, but it depends on YOUR swing and what you are trying to keep/change. My decision was based on there was not a club difference in the overall distance between these 2 drivers, but there could be a whole stroke difference in having a shot at the green and having to punch out. I bought a G410 5 wood and will determine if it is worth the extra bucks G425Max, if the 5 wood ever gets here. I also have the 9 wood and plan on the 7 and 3 woods. I’m growing more confident in this driver and I have been hitting the G425Max as far as my old M5 and much straighter. Most of my missed fairways this weekend (played 5 rounds) have been from trying to fade or draw the ball, and it simply going straight and running out of fairway. The Ping while shorter (on the monitor) was mostly dead straight with the occasional 5-10 yard miss. My in to out swing and a hit toe hit or low heel hit created huge hooks and slices. It seems that it was made for people who swing out to in. HOWEVER, me and Twist Face do not get along.

There was no doubt that the Sim2 Max (for me) was longer than the Ping G425Max, but so was my M5. Mishits don't seem to be causing the same level of drop-off or increase in the spin numbers.I did this in April.

Whilst all the brands talking about ball speed (and the new drivers are certainly long), my biggest finding has been how much more consistent the ball flights are. For 2022 he thinks the main trend in drivers is: "In a word, consistency. He is able to compare performance between models, brands and generations. In his current role, Neil is responsible for testing all new drivers and is part of a team testing golf balls. Over the years, Neil has tested a vast array of products in each category and at drastically different price-points. He clearly remembers the launch of the Callaway and Nike square drivers as well as the white TaylorMade driver families, such as the RocketBallz! If you take a look at the Golf Monthly YouTube channel, you'll see his equipment videos dating back over a decade! He has also conducted 'What's In The Bag' interviews with many of the game's best players like Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm. In his role at Golf Monthly, he has covered equipment launches that date back well over a decade. Neil is currently a 3-handicap golfer who has played the game for as long as he can remember. Originally working with the best coaches in the UK to produce instruction content, he is now the brand's Digital Editor and covers everything from Tour player interviews to gear reviews. Neil has worked for Golf Monthly for over 15-years. The gallery of images below offers a good view of the TaylorMade Stealth driver. This creates an ultra-premium look both on the shelf and down behind the ball but at address, the Stealth looks compact and for us, was a little less confidence-inspiring than the previous generation. However, what might be more of an issue for some is the stealthy matt black finish. Whilst this might not be to everyone’s taste, the chosen colour is not too bright and down behind the ball is fairly recessive. To highlight this new technology, the face of the Stealth driver is red.

By using 60 layers of lightweight carbon fibre (and making the face bigger), TaylorMade is saying the three Stealth drivers (the Stealth Plus and Stealth HD models make up the range) should deliver a better energy transfer through impact for a higher COR and more ball speed. For 2022, this promise comes in the shape of an all new carbon fibre face. Over the last few years, golfers have become used to seeing TaylorMade introduce new driver technologies in a bid to unlock more distance off the tee.
